The image of the artist on the right is most evident on the magazine cover besides the actual title on the front page. Her face draws the audience in, as though she gives contact to them via the use of the eyes (glare). the allignment of the text is also significant, the stories are all placed one after the other neatly along the left. When you look at the cover, it seems to have a simple layout meaning it is easy to read and consume the information one bit at a time. The colours used allow the cover to seem quite professional as only 3 colours have been used (blue, orange and white = bright and eye-catching). Moreover, the font styles too, are limited, this allows the cover to attain a simplistic, easy-to-read look.

This clearly reflects the innovative style of the spin magazine using the colours red for the magazine name. We can also clearly see that the images are dominant prevailing the text. The image of Kanye West attracts its audience as he is a famous person and one who is recognised all over. The headings and sub-headings are spaced out and all the text is in capital letters making it clear to understand and all the txt used is relevant and concise. Not many colours are used 2 or 3 at the most this makes it more proffesional creating a nice balance.

The Kerrang magazine as we can see has layers of pictures which are very dominant in this double page spread, they are bordered with white outlining to make each picture stand out individually. The images used are memebers of the Kerrang band therefore using relevant images is always important to gain attention of the audience. There is use of capital letters in headings and sub headings to outline important imformation. Also using the colour Red resembles the originailty of the magazine as shown in front covers. Yet again we see the use of alignment as the text is seperated from the images creating a clear differentiation. Overall the colours used are minimum. Blues, Reds and blacks creating a dark image reflecting that of a rock concert.

As we can see the double page spread is seperated in 4 different columns. Even though the images are in differnt places it does not overshadow the actual alignment of the text and we can still clearly see the use of columns. The images are in different postures making it more attractive. Also not many colours are used mainly black, reds, greys and white. This keeps the originality of the magazine not overdoing it. Also the pictures are surrounded by boxes seperating them from the text. There is much more text involved than the front cover but the images are still dominant attracting its audience.

As you can see all the writing is on the left. The use of alignment makes the contents page look proffesional and neat. The housestyle resembles a grey background with an capital letters making the image stand out as well as the information. Approximatley only 3 font styles are used so the overall image is not overdone. The use of red, black and grey are dull colours creating an unique look to the whole magazine. Some of the text is withing text boxes to make it stand out and the text is short and concise and to the point. The image is in front of the text and using Duffy as a model makes the contents page look that much more attractive!Wednesday, 5 November 2008

The heading Hip-Hop tells us this is for people who like loud and base-line music. The picture of THE GAME adds to the theme of Hip hop as he is a well recognised in the music industry. Using famous ppl always a good idea! Capital lettes are used to emphasise the messeage they are trying to put accross. there are only a few colours used a mixture of Reds, whites, yelows and blues. This tells us it is a magazine for all ppl. Putting a free CD inside makes ppl want to buy the magazine a good way of advertising. The use of alignement adds to the proffessionalism of the magazine making it presentable.(not much text usesd - short concise and to the point info)
